MTL is a consultant in digital editorial strategies. Recently he co-authored the “Offshore Journalism Toolkit” report, an initiative to save in liberal jurisdictions legitimate pieces of journalism at risk of being forcebly deleted. He worked as a professional journalist for over than 40 years, more than half of them in digital journalism, editing news websites, experimenting with multimedia storytelling, planning digital news strategies, and training other journalists with Gruppo Espresso (now GEDI Group). He taught Digital Journalism and History of Journalism at the Urbino J-School and at Università Roma Tre. He is a contemporary historian by training, and he has published several scholarly essays on 20th century history.
